For setting Version 1 you just have to goto Appearance -> Customize

Then you’ll have to go to Slider Options and then select Carousel as the Slider Design.

Then go to General Options, under Homepage and Archive Post Layout Type -> select List Post.

By changing options you can change your design layout. If you’re bored with the List Post layout then you can always select Grid Post Layout or Standard post.

We would recommend to please install and activate the Kirki Plugin given along with the theme. Goto Appearance -> Install Plugins and then Install the Kirki plugin and activate it.
